Gottlieb System 80 Pop Bumper Driver Board Mandatory Fix & Upgrade Kit

This is a minimal collection of parts that will fix a design flaw on the early Gottlieb pop bumper boards, plus makes the pop bumpers act quicker and more stable. Gottlieb issued a service bulletin to correct a design error with the PBDB. A great many of these boards were delivered in games prior to correcting the design at the factory. Examine your boards to ensure that they have been updated. A dead giveaway is the lack of a jumper to replace CR1. Shown below are early boards with the error and later boards with it fixed.

See picture #2 and #3 for the different board types.  If yours looks like picture #2, you will need this kit, unless you are purchasing the full pop bumper driver repair kit.

Includes:

• (4) 47uF, 16V Electrolytic Capacitor (For C4. Minimum 10V, Negative on right)
• (4) 4.7uF, 20V Tantalum Capacitor (For C3. Minimum 10V, Negative on top)
• (4) Zero ohm resistor (Replace diode CR1)

Included but optional:

• (4) 10K Ohm, 1/4 Watt Resistor (For R1)
• (4) 12K Ohm, 1/4 Watt Resistor (For R2)
• (4) 220 Ohm, 1/4 Watt Resistor (For R3)
